This year, the Easter preparations and celebrations promise a special experience in the heart of Eger.On 4 and 5 April 2026, the Szépasszony Valley will once again be populated to host the VII Hungarikum Picnic. We are already preparing and looking forward to welcoming you for a gastronomic adventure!

With the arrival of spring, there's no better way to spend the day than a family stroll through the legendary cellars and restaurants of the Egri Born district. The Hungaricum Picnic is not just an event, but a tribute to our most precious values: 30 Hungaricums, excellent wines, concerts and a craft fair.

Why visit us during the picnic?

While family and traditional activities are taking place in the valley, the Sweet Garden Restaurant and Ice Cream Shop we welcome you as an island of tranquillity. Whether it's a hearty lunch before family activities or an indulgent dessert after a concert, we have something for everyone.

What we are preparing:

• Traditional and modern flavours: In addition to the classics of Hungarian cuisine, our menu also offers the best of modern gastronomy.

• Exempt dishes: As you may already be used to, we pay special attention to our gluten-sensitive guests, so no one will be left out of the festive feast.

• Cooling delicacies: When the April sunshine arrives, you can complete the picnic experience with handcrafted dumplings from our ice cream shop.
